Nieves Bonmati Lawrence was born in Madrid, Spain and immigrated to the United States in 1983. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston in 1996. In 2000, she earned her doctorate in jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center. Ms. Lawrence became a licensed attorney and counselor of law before the Supreme Court of Texas in May of 2001. She was an associate attorney with Martha Garza, P.C. until 2005 when she opened her own law firm.

Ms. Lawrence’s practice focuses on immigration and nationality law. She has sucessfully represented clients facing removal and deportation proceedings before the Department of Homeland Security, the Executive Office for Immigration Review and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Ms. Lawrence also represents applicants who are seeking to adjust their immigration status or pursue naturalization before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service . Ms. Lawrence is a native Spanish speaker and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association.
